Department of Accounting and information Systems was established in 1972 and subsequently emerges as the apex department of the faculty of Business studies of Rajshahi University. The annual enrolment at graduate level (B.B.A) is 100 selected through rigorous and very competitive admission test. It is well known that the job market is quite broad for the business graduates. Specifically the Accounting graduates are widely demanded highly paid in Bangladesh and abroad leaving no unemployment for the good knowledgeable students. At present the department has a total number of 29 full-time qualified teachers. The various courses offered in this department’s 4-year BBA degree course are designed cater to the needs of the job market and complementing for those who aspire for advance level general and professional education in Accounting. MBA, MBM, CMA, CA etc both at home abroad.
